The development of Powdered Nitrile Butadiene Rubber friction materials as a thickener in order to improve the mechanical properties of phenolic resin and polymer materials, and has a good compatibility with the phenolic resin. On the one hand, Nitrile Butadiene Rubber can improve the impact resistance of the friction materials system, to improve braking comfort. On the other hand, it has good oil resistance, high temperature resistance and flexibility.

Main brands

Products with high temperature polymerization, self isolation and condensed into powder process of medium Mooney viscosity, partial crosslinking. The powdered Nitrile Butadiene Rubber is combination of medium and high nitrile content. There are three brands for clients choices according to formula needs.

Application advantages

Powdered Nitrile Butadiene Rubber(NBR) has good bonding effect, can increase the adhesive ability of friction material system. It can improve the impact strength of pressure embryo, and provide product flexibility. So NBR is the ideal friction material modifier, mainly used for brake pad, train brake shoe, motorcycle and other fields. 


The main function and effect as following:

1.Modified phenolic resin, increase its flexibility and improve the frictional properties. To obtain high and stable coefficient of friction.

2.Add powdered NBR in friction materials make the rubber powder particles are uniformly distributed in the mixed materials, thereby reducing the abrasion of the friction material.

3.Powdered NBR has good toughening effect as the elastomer, can increase the impact strength of friction materials.

4.Low products hardness and reduce the braking noise to improve the braking comfort.
